An amazing decor item!  This very large CNR semaphore railroad lamp was made between 1923 - 1960 in Canada.  A heavy piece of railroad equipment and clocking in at a chonk 11 lbs, it was not meant to be carried, but instead was mounted to a post.

The top of the chimney is marked HLP M (Hiram L. Piper - the manufacturer) and M (for the location it was made - Montreal).

The back of the lantern features a vertical sliding door that gives easy access to a rectangular metal burner stamped H.L. Piper Co. Ltd. Montreal.  The long wick adjuster allowed the flame to be turned up or down without opening the lamp.  The top of the door is stamped CNR (Canadian National Railroad).

Both lenses are orange.

Condition: Very good used. This is a vintage/antique piece with minimal paint damage and scratches from wear.  It is meant for decorative use only.
