CPR Hiram L. Piper Adlake Kero Brakemans Lantern - 1959
A lovely vintage CPR Adlake Kero railroad lantern made in January 1959 by Hiram L. Piper.
The top of the lantern hood is marked CPR and Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd. One side of the clear glass globe is marked CNX (identifying the glass maker and type as Corning NONEX - a predecessor of pyrex) and "Made in the USA". The opposite side of the globe is marked Adlake Kero and CPR.
The underside of base is marked Adlake Kero, 1 59, USA, Canada, Patented.
The #400 burner is marked "Use Long Time Burning Oil Only".
Condition: very good used. This is a vintage piece with wear and is meant for decorative use only.
