Made in Rochester, NY. by the Defiance Lantern & Stamping Company between 1910 - 1925, this large No. 0, bright tin lantern with a clear globe was used by railroads and utility companies.

The lantern is marked with Defiance Lantern & Stpg Co, Rochester, NY, U.S.A on one side of the fount/base and No 0 Perfect on the other. This lantern when fully filled would burn for 21 hours.

The clear glass globe (not original to the lantern) is marked Dietz at the top and LI near the base.

Condition: Good used. The frame has been repainted.  Minor separation of inside frame seam near match striker. The globe has minor chipping to top and bottom lips which are not visible when the globe is mounted in the lantern. See photos for details.
