This NYCL brakeman's lantern was made in the 1930's by Adams & Westlake (AdLake) and was likely used on trains operating between Windsor and Niagara Falls/Fort Erie.

The rich red Kopp fresnel globe is stamped at the top and bottom. The burner is marked Adlake 400.

Condition: Good used. Lantern has been repainted over rust and corrosion.  The bail (handle) is stuck in the fixed position.  The fresnel glass globe is is chipped on the bottom edge which is not visible when the lamp is assembled.  The bottom half of the oil pot has been cut away and replaced with the bottom end of a coffee tin - early recycling at its best! See photos for details.  Note: this is an antique piece with wear, meant for decorative use only.
