CNR E.T. Wright & Co. Tall Globe Brakeman's Lantern - 1920's
This tall globe brakeman's lantern was made between 1920-1926 by E.T. Wright for Canadian National Railways.
Top of lantern chimney is marked “E.T. Wright & Co. Mfrs – Hamilton, Ont”. The lantern hood is marked "C.N. R., Pat'd 1908". There is no burner in this lantern.
The clear glass globe is marked CNR in raised glass. Globe has bubbles from manufacturing process (common in older glass manufacturing) and a vertical crack down one side of the globe.
Condition: Good used. The burner has been lost to time and is missing, and there is a vertical crack in the globe, but the wire frame is in good condition. This is an antique/vintage piece with wear and dents, and is meant for decorative use only. See photos for details.
