CNR Hiram L. Piper Adlake Kero Brakeman's Lantern - 1920's

A piece of Canadian history!  This Hiram L. Piper Railway lantern was made between 1921 and 1923 and both the lantern top and the clear round glass globe is marked CNR. 

The underside of base is marked Patent No's 1415633, 1415634-1415635, 1660194, and Canada 1921-1923, and Pats Pending, USA.  

The #400 burner is marked "Use Long Time Burning Oil Only". 

Condition: used.  This lamp is in great condition with very little rust. There are some small dents and the wire base has been pushed out of alignment in one section. The glass globe has minor chips on top and bottom lips.  Note: this is an antique piece with wear, meant for decorative use only.
