Sadler Gold and Cream English China Tea Set
A lovely vintage gold and cream Sadler teapot, creamer, and lidded sugar bowl set with grape motif.
The pattern number is 1615. The back stamp dates this set to sometime after 1947.
Dimensions:
Teapot - Height is 5" from the base to the top of the handle, 6 1/2" to the top finial of the lid. Diameter at the base is 3 3/4", with a diameter of 5 1/2" at the belly of the pot. The length of the teapot from the edge of the handle to the tip of the spout is 9".
Creamer - Height is 3 3/4" from the base to the top of the handle. Diameter at the base is 2 1/2", with a diameter of 3 3/4" at the belly of the creamer. The length of the creamer from the edge of the handle to the tip of the spout is 5".
Lidded sugar bowl - Height is 3" from the base to the top of the handle, 6 1/2" to the top finial of the lid. Diameter at the base is 3", with a diameter of 4 1/4" at the belly of the bowl. The length of the creamer from handle to handle is 6 1/4".
Condition: This is a used vintage set. The teapot has visible wear to the gold trim on the handle (see photo) and inside lip where the lid meets the pot, and crazing and tannin staining prominent throughout the interior. The creamer and sugar bowl are in excellent condition with minor crazing on the cream bands of the sugar bowl. No chips or cracks on any of the pieces.
