Weems & Plath #700 Yacht Lamp
Couldn't load pickup availability
This solid brass marine oil lamp was produced by the historic American nautical instrument maker Weems & Plath. It’s styled after a traditional miner’s safety lamp — including venting holes at the top of the bonnet and an internal mesh screen.
The plate on the front of the lamp hood is marked Weems & Plath, Yacht Lamp, No. 13174, Annapolis, Maryland. The glass insert is unmarked.
Weems & Plath began making this lamp in 1983 and it's still for sale today. The production number on this lamp makes it likely it was manufactured in the late-1980s.
Condition: Very good used. Minimal corrosion. Internal mesh screen intact. Glass does not look original. Note: this is an untested vintage lamp and has the wear expected for its age. See photos for details.
